Thanks to my brother from another mother, @harmophone, for tipping me off on this kick ass use of Klout and Foursquare to alert business owners when influencers check into their establishments on Foursquare. Is this the end to angry Twitter rants? Probably not. But when used it can certainly help cut back on them AND generate some positive word of mouth too.
The app was created at the global Foursquare hackathon last September by @barnabymalet and @namitchadha.
In their words, “VenueMachine monitors and reports on influential patrons checking into your venue in real-time. As soon as someone enters your venue with a Klout score over a threshold which you define, you get an SMS!”

Retailers and Restauranteur… and rock show venues… there could be a rock star amongts you, and now you can know… Start using this today. If you don’t, then you aren’t harnessing the explosive power of social influence.
Best,
