This blog exists because explaining Klout.com is in one sentence is no easy task, even for @abelmind and I who spend a lot of time thinking, writing, and talking about it. If I was forced to spew out what is Klout in one sentence my response would 1) Be a run on sentence 2) I’d probably stutter (And I’m not a stutterer) and 3) The audience would still probably be confused.
After a Bing search for “what is Klout in one sentence” here are a few of the answers:
Measures something and compiles your ‘expertise’ topics from your SoMe activity
Klout is destroying the whole purpose of Twitter or social networking, i.e., to find interesting people and engage with them for betterment of their personal, professional and business lives
The company aggregates your social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and all the others), and calculates a score based on your number of followers, your followers’ influence, how often you contribute, and much more.
I’m not satisfied with any of the above or any of the other hundreds of explanations I’ve read or heard, so in my quest for the perfect answer I’m enlisting you, the readers of What the Klout? to help.
